| ABOUT "NOIR" THE WEBISODE
What is "Noir" the Webisode all about?
"Noir" the Webisode is a series of short episodic clips that will be played each Monday on this website. In essence, it's an online short format film series with an overarching plot. Starting on November 17th, a new 3-5 minute scene will be posted and archived on the site for viewers around the world to watch.
What is the story about?
"Noir" is a classic film-noir styled movie straight out of the 1940s. What makes this series unique is that the film is edited in such a way that gives it a very modern feel... much like Guy Ritchie meets Sam Spade. In a nutshell, the story is about a local pub owner who borrows money that he can't repay from a notorious loan shark. All hell breaks loose as greed, jealousy, and bad blood take over this colorful cast of characters. With names like Miss Sunshine, Gunn the Barman, Finn the Shark, and Stone Rockland, the series is witty, intelligent, humorous, dramatic, and professionally filmed.
Who made the series?
"Noir" was produced by Knight Owl Entertainment, an independent film and video production company located in Upstate New York, which is a division of Knight Owl Media. Headed by award-winning filmmaker, Jeff Knight, Knight Owl Entertainment has produced a number of short and feature films as well as corporate productions, music videos, fashion shows, training videos, promotional videos, and much more. This particular series was written, directed, and edited by Jeff Knight, and produced by KOE Co-Founder, Sheila McClain.
Who are the actors in "Noir"?
All the talent in this series are up-and-coming local actors. Many have been seen in other Knight Owl productions (see KOE's website), while some are new to the production company's ever-growing slate of talent.
How many episodes will be in "Noir" the Webisode?
"Noir" the Webisode has already finished production, so the story is complete, much like television shows that finish all production before being aired. It is estimated that the series will be 20 episodes, all running three to five minutes in length.
